Last Aid courses provide basic knowledge and practical guidance for dealing with seriously ill and dying people. They show in a clear and mindful way how to provide support at the end of life, reduce fears, and deal with issues such as saying goodbye, suffering, death, and making provisions. This also includes information on personal wishes, decisions, and options for making provisions for the end of life.
End-of-life care is not a science, but can also be provided within the family and neighborhood. Experts from the German Red Cross provide basic knowledge and guidance as well as simple techniques. They want to provide basic knowledge and encourage people to turn their attention to the dying. Because attention is what we all need most at the end of life. They improve the quality of life for people in the final stages of life. In addition to theoretical content, such as knowing about powers of attorney, practical skills such as oral care, positioning, psychological support, and “staying and enduring” are taught.
The course is aimed at people who accompany others in the final stages of their lives or who want to prepare themselves for such a situation.
After completing the course and attending all sessions, you will receive a certificate for the “Last Aid Course.”
The training costs are covered in full by health insurance companies.
