The training is intended in particular for people working in the field of medical care and in the nursing and hospice service. A guided tour of the museum's permanent exhibition will focus on how new findings in medicine have changed the way we deal with the dead and thus also the layout of cemeteries.
In a subsequent keynote lecture with the opportunity for discussion, the question of what today's wishes for grave design are and what developments result from them will be explored together. In addition, various new grave forms will be presented, such as church columbarium, burial forest and themed graves, or community graves in cemeteries. All these grave forms follow certain images, which are apparently experienced as comforting for the farewell. It is important to grasp them in order to be able to apply the knowledge gained from them in everyday professional life.
