Our admission prices are valid for the whole house. You will have access to the permanent exhibition, the special exhibitions and the outdoor area.

Arrival by public transport:

From the ICE train station Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe you can reach us with the tram lines 1 and 3: go into town to the stop Weigelstraße (approx. 10 minutes), from there to Brüder-Grimm-Platz and at the Murhardsche Bibliothek and the Elisabethkrankenhaus turn right into Weinbergstraße.

From the main train station, take the RT5 in the direction of the city centre to the stop Rathaus/Fünffensterstraße. From there turn right into Wilhelmshöher Allee about 10m in the direction of travel. After about 50m turn left into Weinbergstraße, between Elisabethkrankenhaus and Murhardsche Bibliothek.

The Museum for Sepulchral Culture is open to everyone.

The open architecture of the building and a spacious elevator to all exhibition levels support an unrestricted access for everyone. The permanent exhibition and the changing special exhibitions are barrier-free for wheelchair users.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located in the basement.

One accompanying person receives free admission.

Special guided tours can also be booked for blind, visually and hearing impaired or otherwise impaired visitors.

To round off your visit to the museum, we invite you to relax in the covered courtyard or on the terrace overlooking Kassel. Enjoy the unique atmosphere. On a self-service basis, you will receive hot and cold drinks and small snacks.

Admission to the cafeteria is free of charge and not bound to a visit to the museum. Even if you do not have time to visit the exhibition, you are always welcome!

You are also welcome to visit the museum shop during the museum's opening hours independently of a visit to the exhibition rooms. A wide range of goods awaits you here.

In addition to in-house publications and catalogues, specialist literature and children's books, you will find other attractive products. A theme-specific assortment of postcards and posters, selected design objects as well as artistically designed gifts and editions are permanently available.
