Our library offers specialists, enthusiasts, and students no fewer than 55.000 books, pamphlets, and articles, as well as quiet study spaces. Subject-specific indexing allows you to quickly and easily find the articles you are looking for on sepulchral culture, even in literature outside your field. Of particular note are the numerous historical sources and funeral sermons housed in the library's stacks. We maintain a subscription to approximately 50 journals, providing answers to questions concerning sepulchral culture.
For quick and easy research, the library has a new Online catalogThe online catalog allows users to search for all titles within the museum's specific collection and subject area. It serves not only as a valuable information resource but also as a platform for the library and our research. The catalog provides information on new publications, collection expansions, and the unique features of our archives, as well as their opening hours. No registration or membership is required to use the online catalog; our holdings are freely available to everyone. Students, professionals, and the general public are all invited to explore this unique collection.
Loans are not available, however, copies of the essay in DIN A4 format can be ordered for €0,26 each, plus postage.
The library can only be visited with prior registration!
Please register in advance via email at library@sepulkralmuseum.de or by phone 0561-91893-40.
