Artist's book for the exhibition with three original prints

With the exhibition "vergehen" (passing away), the Museum of Sepulchral Culture pays tribute to the work of the internationally renowned artist herman de vries.

The artist's book "vergehen" (passing away) was created to accompany the exhibition and on the occasion of his 90th birthday. In addition to texts by the artist, the curator Dr. Dirk Pörschmann, director of the Museum for Sepulchral Culture, and Ellen Koller, the book contains reproductions of the exhibits shown in the exhibition as well as three hand-signed originals by herman de vries, which are included in each copy.

Herman de Vries was born on July 11, 1931 in Alkmaar, NL.

The edition can be purchased from the Museum for Sepulchral Culture in Kassel for €480 plus any applicable shipping costs. If you are interested, please contact Kerstin Hering by email at hering@sepulkralmuseum.de or by phone 0 561 91893 13.

Herman de Vries deliberately limited the edition to 108 copies. The number 1 represents the beginning, zero the end and also the cycle, and eight can be seen as a symbol of infinity. “All in one – one in all” (Herman de Vries)
