at the Museum for Sepulchral Culture Kassel
This lecture deals with the question of how we can live, hope, and age with the knowledge of having to die – without despair. Psychological functions are described with which this task can be accomplished without fatalism. A clinical example shows the psychoanalytical treatment of the conflict between the illusion of infinity and the recognition of one's own time limitation.
